It's been a while so let me see if I can catch you up on the happenings ...
October - Lem and I found out that we have a bundle of joy on the way.
Thanksgiving - we told the parental units prior to Thanksgiving dinner and the rest of the family at Thanksgiving. We are so happy and you can't imagine how happy the parents are too. Since we are due 7/4 ... Lem's aunties have already nicknamed the baby "Indie" short for Independence. My side of the family is calling the baby "Peanut" because with the first ultrasound the baby looks like a peanut.
Christmas/New Year - The kids came home from school and it was good to have them home! We really missed them! I was so ready for the holidays to be over. Early in December I got sick and was sick all month. Christmas Eve was nice at my parent's house and at Lem's family party. New Year's we spent in Vegas with the Lachicas. We finally have our condo! No furniture yet ... but we will slowly be working on that!
At home we are currently remodeling the last 2 bedrooms and the hallway. Hopefully we will be able to get the kitchen, family room and backyard done before the baby comes.
Shel brought home the Doppler so that Lem could hear the baby's heartbeat ... it was cool!
January - still sick I finally went to the Urgent Care and told the doctor I needed something because I was still sick and not feeling better. She prescribed an antibiotic and I took cough syrup too and I felt so MUCH better after that weekend! I have to stay well and away from people that are sick because I definitely do not want to go through that again. But heard the baby's heartbeat and sounds good!
Coming up 2nd week of February - we get to find out if Indie/Peanut will be a boy a girl! Can you believe it's already been 4 months?!?! Until the next post ... |
